We recommend reheating our bread for maximum enjoyment! For sliced breads, we would suggest popping them into a toaster. Baguettes and rolls can go in a pre-heated oven, and the buns will warm up nicely in a pan with olive oil or a generous pat of butter.
Store unused bread in a tightly sealed bag and keep in the refrigerator for up to one week or in the freezer to enjoy for later. If properly frozen, our breads should keep for up to three months. When you’re ready to enjoy again, thaw the bread at room temperature and toast until the crust is golden brown and crisp or to your liking.
We seal our loaves in recyclable bags for optimal freshness and hygiene. However, the enclosed environment means the moisture from inside the loaf tends to seep into its exterior, rendering the crust soft and the crumb seemingly dry. Fortunately, simply toasting the bread will enable you to enjoy it as our bakers intended!
Bread Pantry was born from a desire to feed Hong Kongers with healthier and more nutritious breads which is why we eschew the use of any additives or preservatives in our loaves.
Instead, we choose to stick to our trusted basics - flour from Girardeau Family’s Suire Mill in Boussay, France; Guérande sea salt; filtered water; and 15-year-old natural levain - as well as a natural fermentation process to ensure better quality breads.
